Love and a 100 year old Barn, A rustic spring wedding

Kristi, a marathon runner, and Andy, an outdoorsman, joined their lives at beautiful Evergreen Barn (The Barn at Evergreen) in the quaint town of Evergreen. If you aren’t familiar with the town of Evergreen, it is just about 30 minutes from Denver at the base of the foothills. Their wedding included a simple rustic outdoor ceremony, with an Old West vibe, and a lake backdrop that is home to the buffalo you often see on your way up Interstate 70. The reception featured a little bit of rustic meets elegant: a barn featuring rich woods with windows lush with stained glass.

RING BEARER DOG

Kristi and Andy exchanged vows in an outdoor Christian service facing the beautiful lake at Evergreen Barn. Along with family and friends, the happy couple had a special ring-bearer: Victoria, their furriest family member. (Seriously, can you think of anything cuter?) The bride wore a gorgeous lace dress with the ultimate Old West touch, her cowboy boots!  The groom kept to the classics with a black three-piece suit and tie. The bouquets carried by the bride and bridesmaids also maintained the rustic vibe with vintage roses with lavender sprigs wrapped in twine.

As it usually does in Colorado, a short rain shower came through at the end of the ceremony so the wedding party retreated indoors for photos. They posed in front of 100-year-old stained glass windows streaming with sunlight that formed an elegant backdrop for photos. The colors popped making for the perfect complement to the soft colors of the wedding palette.

HANGING STRING LIGHTS

The reception kicked off in the intimacy of the barn. It was almost like time traveling back to the pioneering days of Colorado! They had strings of hanging lights and a joyful gathering of loved ones clapping and dancing to the music. There were also some other very Colorado touches: beautifully practical beer openers for guest favors? Perfect! This wedding proves that blending simplicity, a rustic Colorado aesthetic and a little elegance. It was a beautiful recipe for an Old West-inspired celebration of love.
